Contributions to the Placer County Republican Party are an important requirement for our continued efforts. Without your generous dollars and time, we could not field candidates and implement programs supporting the strong family and individual values cherished by the people of Placer County. Information and Disclaimer

  • Tax Information: Contributions to the Placer County Republican Party are non-tax deductible for Federal or California tax purposes.
  • Individual Contributions: Individual Contributions will be used in both federal and California state elections and may also be made in any amount. The first $10,000 received per calendar year (husband and wives counted separately) will be used for federal elections.
  • Contributions Used for Federal Elections: Individuals and unincorporated associations may contribute up to $10,000 per contributor per calendar year (husband and wives are considered separate contributors). Federal PAC’s may contribute up to $5000 per calendar year.
  • Corporate Contributions: Corporate contributions will be used in California state elections and may also be used for special federal “Levin Account” purposes. These contributions may be made in any amount.
  • Federal “Levin Account”: The second $5000 received from an individual, and the first $10,000 from any corporation may be placed in the Republican Party’s “Levin Account” and will be used for ’”federal election activity.” Contributions used for state and local elections: Individuals, PACs, business entities and corporations may contribute unlimited amounts for California state and local elections and ballot issues, and may be allocated as follows: (a) up to $27,900 for candidate support, (b) amounts in excess of $27,900 per calendar year will be used for permissible non-direct candidate support purposes.
  • Special Donor Disclosure Requirements: Contributors of $10,000 or more to the Party’s state and local elections account and all other state or local candidates, PACs, political party committees, or ballot measures in a calendar year must file a California Major Donor Committee Report. Federal and California law requires political committees to report the name, mailing address, occupation and employer for each donor whose contributions aggregate $100 or more per calendar year.
