LAST WEEKEND TO HELP PROP 8 and TOM McCLINTOCK

For Immediate Release

Traditional Marriage Needs Your Help!

Please call (916) 783-4411 to volunteer for Proposition 8 and Tom McClintock this weekend. Precinct walks and phone banks begin at 10am on Saturday and noon on Sunday.

We need volunteers:

  • Saturday 10am-8pm
  • Sunday noon-8pm
  • Monday 10am-8pm
  • Tuesday, Election Day, 8am-8pm

This election is crucial to California’s future. Not just because of the presidential race, but because the very definition of marriage is at stake. Proposition 8 is in an extremely close race to restore traditional marriage.

In Placer County, we value freedom and limited government. That’s why Tom McClintock is our candidate for Congress—he understands the proper role of government. When four activist judges overturned Proposition 22, they abused their power and redefined marriage for all Californians. November 4th is our opportunity to tell these judges their judicial tyranny is unacceptable.

Unfortunately, neighboring counties in San Francisco and the Bay Area will counter our votes to restore marriage. That means Placer County must help pass Proposition 8 by getting out our voters in greater numbers than Bay Area liberals. We need every available volunteer to make calls and precinct walk this weekend. This is the final push to pass Proposition 8 and elect Tom McClintock. Getting out the vote this weekend is critical to our state’s future. As our great Republican leader Ronald Reagan once asked, “If not us, who? And if not now, when?” We are the workers who must save marriage for our children and now is the time to do so. Be a part of history by volunteering this weekend!

Brown Launches Deceptive Attack on McClintock

Placer County Republican Party
Press Release
Bill George – Spokesman
For Immediate Release

Calls for McClintock to Vote for Massive Tax Hike

Roseville CA- August 8, 2008- Charlie Brown once again demonstrated his ignorance of the state’s budgetary process-and the tax-fighting nature of the District he seeks to represent in Congress- when he sent a misleading email to “4th District” residents. In that email he said that Tom McClintock and other Republicans “aren’t doing their jobs” because they have opposed a massive, Democrat-inspired tax scheme. In fact, Republican legislators are working night and day to fight this raid on our pocketbooks.

If the GOP legislators had caved last month, as Charlie Brown wished, the new taxes would have totaled some $8.2 billion. By fighting the proposed plan, the Democrats’ latest rejected budget deal would have cost taxpayers $6.6 billion. So those “non-working Republicans” have already saved taxpayers $1.6 billion and are fighting on.
